This CCM JetSpeed stick was used by Connor McDavid in a SportsNet video shoot entitled "This is the stick of choice for McDavid" on November 30, 2017.
The stick has been affixed with hologram number MGA00624.
This stick has been exclusively authorized for authentication and distribution by the Connor McDavid-Edmonton Oilers-MeiGray Group Game-Used Equipment Program, designed to protect the integrity of the budding NHL superstar's game-used items.
At 19 years and 266 days old, the Oilers entrusted their leadership to the Richmond Hill, Ontario, native whom they selected first overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. He became the youngest captain in National Hockey League history on October 5, 2016.
And McDavid did not disappoint last season. The Oilers clinched their first Stanley Cup playoff berth since 2006 on March 27, 2017 ... and defeated the San Jose Sharks in the first round before losing a tough seven-game series to the Anaheim Ducks.
McDavid last season captured his first Art Ross Trophy as the NHL's leading scorer, his first Hart Trophy as the NHL's Most Valuable Player, and the Ted Lindsay Award as the NHL's Top Player as voted by the NHL Players Association.
And already this season he is among the NHL scoring leaders as he vies for his second straight Art Ross Trophy.
MeiGray is the Official Game-Worn Jersey Source for the Boston Bruins, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Edmonton Oilers, Nashville Predators, New Jersey Devils, Philadelphia Flyers, Vegas Golden Knights and Washington Capitals.
Every jersey worn by each of these participating MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program clubs contains a uniquely numbered inventory tag sewn into the jersey BEFORE IT IS WORN BY THE PLAYER ON THE ICE. This tag is equipped with covert security features regularly checked by MGG Program Directors so we can tell who wore the jersey, and when.
