Welcome to USA Hockey-MeiGray Group's 2018 International Ice Hockey Federation Men’s World Championship Team USA Jersey Auction.
The 2018 IIHF Men’s World Championship was held in Copenhagen and Herning, Denmark from May 4, 2018 through May 20, 2018. The U.S. Men’s World Championship Team played its games at Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning, Denmark and Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The U.S. Men’s World Championship team captured the Bronze Medal after a 4-1 victory over Canada. Competing in Group B in Herning, the U.S. opened tournament play with six straight wins for the first time in U.S. history by defeating Canada (5-4 in a Shootout), Denmark (4-0), Germany (3-0), Latvia (3-2 in OT), Korea (13-1) and Norway (9-3).
The U.S. finished second in Group B after a 6-2 setback against Finland on the final day of preliminary play. Team USA then topped the Czech Republic, 3-2, in quarterfinal play. A 6-0 semifinal defeat to eventual champion Sweden sent the U.S. to meet Canada in the Bronze Medal game.

There was one set of blue, and one set of white jerseys manufactured by Nike and prepared for use by the U.S. National Men's Team in the 2018 IIHF Men’s World Championship. Each jersey was bar-coded before the tournament. The sets of jerseys were collected after each game by Team USA's equipment staff. Each jersey offered in auction has been security-tagged with an individually serial-numbered USA Hockey-MeiGray Authentication Program inventory tag.
The U.S. Men’s World Championship Team wore the set of white jerseys in three games, and the set of blue jerseys in seven games. The players were given the set of blue jerseys.
The U.S. Men’s World Championship Bronze Medal Winning Team wore the white jerseys in the following IIHF Men’s World Championship games:
*May 5, 2018, a 4-0 victory over Denmark.
*May 13, 2018, a 9-3 victory over Norway.
*May 15, 2018, a 6-2 loss to Finland.
This auction is for the actual white jersey used by #43 Quinn Hughes.
This jersey, a 58, has been registered in the USA Hockey-MeiGray Game-Worn Authentication Program as number USA009620.
Proceeds will benefit the USA Hockey Foundation.
