The U.S. World Junior Championship team captured the Gold Medal after a 5-4 shootout victory over Canada in the gold-medal game of the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship at Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. The United States won its tenth medal in the history of the tournament, and fourth gold.
The 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship was held in Montreal and Toronto, Canada from December 26, 2016 through January 5, 2017. The U.S. World Junior Championship Men's Team played its games at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, and at Bell Centre in Montreal.

There was one set of retro, one set of white, and one set of blue jerseys manufactured by Nike and prepared for use by the U.S. National Men's Team in the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship. Each jersey was bar-coded before the tournament. The sets of jerseys were collected after each game by Team USA's equipment staff. Each jersey offered in auction has been security-tagged with an individually serial-numbered USA Hockey-MeiGray Authentication Program inventory tag.
The U.S. World Junior Championship Men's Team wore the one set of retro jerseys in five games, the one set of white jerseys in one game and the one set of blue jerseys in one game. The players retained the one set of retro jerseys. The one set of blue jerseys was also worn in a 4-3 pre-tournament game victory over Switzerland in Oshawa, Ontario. The one set of white jerseys was also worn in a 4-0 pre-tournament game victory over the Czech Republic in Kingston, Ontario.

The U.S. World Junior Championship Gold Medal Winning Team wore the white jerseys in the following IIHF World Junior Championship game:
*December 28, 2016, a 5-2 victory over Slovakia
This auction is for the actual white jersey worn by #31 Joseph Woll.
Woll went 2-0 during the tournament, including the 3-1 victory vs. Canada on December 31, 2016. Woll currently plays for Boston College. He was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 3rd round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
