Gordon Hayward used these Size 14.5 "XMAS" ANTA GH1 shoes while playing for the Boston Celtics during the 2019-20 NBA regular season.
The shoes are photo-matched to the Celtics' 118-102 victory over the Toronto Raptors on December 25, 2019 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, ON. Hayward scored 14 points with six assists, five rebounds, two steals and one blocked shot in the game.
The ANTA GH1, Hayward's signature shoe, takes a great deal of inspiration from tigers: it features a "tiger claw" traction pattern, a "tiger stripe" in the canvas upper for ventilation, and features the Chinese brand's "tiger tooth" logo. The low-top GH1 features the Chinese brand's A-Shock foam cushioning system with a TPU toe cap and heel counter.
The primarily white with red, green and gold "XMAS" colorway features an "ugly Christmas sweater" mosaic stitched into the canvas upper. The same design is found on the partially translucent outsole. Other details unique to the GH1 found on the shoe include the letters "R-B-C-N" on the heel (referencing Hayward's wife and three children) and his signature on the outside of each toe.
