This pair of orange Reebok socks was worn by Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers throughout the Oilers' 3-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on December 3, 2016 at Rogers Place in Edmonton.
This was McDavid's second season in the NHL, and his first as the Oilers' captain. McDavid won the Art Ross and Hart Trophies in 2016-17, leading the Oilers to their first berth in the Stanley Cup Playoffs since 2006.
This pair of game-worn socks has been exclusively authorized for authentication and distribution by the Connor McDavid-Edmonton Oilers-MeiGray Group Game-Used Equipment Program, designed to protect the integrity of the budding NHL superstar's game-used items.
These socks have been photo-matched. A photographic LOA will be included with these socks to the winning bidder.
This pair of socks has been registered with hologram number MGA006112. The hologram has been affixed to one sock.
MeiGray is the Official Game-Worn Jersey Source for the Boston Bruins, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Edmonton Oilers, Nashville Predators, New Jersey Devils, Philadelphia Flyers, Vegas Golden Knights and Washington Capitals.
Every jersey worn by each of these participating MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program clubs contains a uniquely numbered inventory tag sewn into the jersey BEFORE IT IS WORN BY THE PLAYER ON THE ICE. This tag is equipped with covert security features regularly checked by MGG Program Directors so we can tell who wore the jersey, and when.
