January 9, 2018, when the Oilers lost 2-1 to the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN. McDavid had one goal in the game.
January 12, 2018, when the Oilers defeated the Arizona Coyotes, 4-2, at Gila River Arena in Glendale, AZ. McDavid had secondary assists on Patrick Maroon's game-tying goal and on Darnell Nurse's eventual game-winning goal.
January 13, 2018, when the Oilers defeated the Vegas Golden Knights, 3-2, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV. McDavid had the secondary assists on the game's first goal by Patrick Maroon and on Drake Caggiula's game-tying goal in the third period.
January 20, 2018, when the Oilers defeated the Vancouver Canucks, 5-2, at Rogers Place in Edmonton, AB. McDavid earned the assist on Patrick Maroon's 12th goal of the season to open the scoring in the first period.

This skates, collected by MGG from the Oilers on March 9, 2018, has been been registered with hologram number MGA20534. The hologram has been affixed to the bottom of the right skate.
At 19 years and 266 days old, the Oilers entrusted their leadership to the Richmond Hill, Ontario, native whom they selected first overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. He became the youngest captain in National Hockey League history on October 5, 2016.
And McDavid has not disappointed. The Oilers clinched their first Stanley Cup playoff berth since 2006 on March 27, 2017 ... and defeated the San Jose Sharks in the first round before losing a tough seven-game series to the Anaheim Ducks.
