MeiGray has teamed up with the Professional Women's Hockey League to bring fully authenticated jerseys from its inaugural season to fans and collectors as the league's popularity continues to skyrocket.
Theresa Schafzahl wore this green jersey while playing for PWHL Boston during the Professional Women's Hockey League's inaugural 2024 season, including during the team's inaugural game against PWHL Minnesota on January 3, 2024 at Tsongas Arena in Lowell, MA. Minnesota defeated Boston, 3-2. The jersey is photo-matched to that game.
PWHL Boston wore this first set of green jerseys in 10 games from January 3 through March 16, 2024.
PWHL Boston finished as the runner-up for the first-ever Walter Cup, going 8-4-3-9 and finishing as the third seed in the regular season before sweeping second-seeded Montreal in the semifinals and taking the 2024 Walter Cup Final to five games.
Schafzahl made history as the PWHL's first Austrian player and scored three goals with three assists in 20 regular season games. She also chipped in three assists in eight postseason games. She debuted for her senior national team at age 15 at the 2016 Division 1A Championship and went on to win two EWHL Championships before leaving Europe to attend the University of Vermont. Schafzahl led the Catamounts in scoring in 2022 and was named a finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award in 2022. She was named team captain in 2023 and finished her collegiate career as the top scorer in program history.
