The PHF-MeiGray Group Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history ... the jersey worn by #3 Sarah Forster of the Metropolitan Riveters during the 2022-23 Premier Hockey Federation season.
Sarah Forster wore this Black Rosie jersey while playing for the Metropolitan Riveters during their 6-2 win over the Boston Pride on February 24, 2023 at The Rink at American Dream in East Rutherford, NJ.
The jersey features the Riveters' primary logo with Rosie the Riveter depicted as Black, honoring the hundreds of thousands of "Black Rosies" who entered the American workforce during World War II.
This idea was originally conceptualized by Erica L. Ayala, a Black-Latina sports journalist and the Riveters' team reporter, and this iteration of the jersey was designed by Jordan Dabney, a Black artist, and Riveters fan.
All proceeds from this auction benefit Black Girl Hockey Club, a nonprofit organization that focuses on making hockey more inclusive for Black women, their families, their friends and allies.
This jersey is a size MD and is registered into the MeiGray Group Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program as number MGG008657.
MGG also works with the ECHL, USA Hockey, and seven National Hockey League clubs: Boston Bruins, Columbus Blue Jackets, Nashville Predators, New Jersey Devils, Philadelphia Flyers, Seattle Kraken and Washington Capitals.
