The Los Angeles Clippers and MeiGray are proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history... the basketball used to score the first practice basket in the Inaugural Game at Intuit Dome Pre-Game Warm-up during the 2024-25 National Basketball Association regular season by the Los Angeles Clippers.
It took fewer than 37 months for the $2 Billion Intuit Dome to rise from the ground in Inglewood, CA, and provide the Los Angeles Clippers with their first true NBA home-court advantage. This technologically savvy, yet intimate new home of the Clippers hosted its Inaugural NBA regular season Opener on October 23, 2024.
MeiGray Authenticated was there to chronicle its debut and its every first moment.
At 6:45 pm Pacific Time, the Clippers emerged from the dressing room for their first lay-up line during their first pre-game warmups. With the crowd still buzzing with anticipation for the Inaugural Game, Cam Christie used this basketball to drop the first practice basket into the shiny new rim, inaugurating the Clips' new home prior to the Clippers' 116-113 overtime loss to the Phoenix Suns in the Inaugural Game at Intuit Dome.
This basketball is registered as MGA90541 in the NBA Authentication Database.
