Welcome to the 2023 FDNY Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Auction!
The MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history ... the actual Jersey worn by #4 Paul Moran of the FDNY Hockey Team
Paul Moran of Ladder Co. 174 wore this jersey while playing for the FDNY Hockey Team during their Breast Cancer Awareness game victory over the Mena Singer Foundation on October 20, 2023 at Abe Stark Arena in Brooklyn, NY.
All proceeds from this auction will benefit the Ray Pfeifer Foundation, which assists first responders with medical expenses not covered by insurance as a result of their rescue efforts on September 11, 2001. Many of these individuals suffer from breast cancer.
Now in its 55th year of existence, the FDNY Hockey Team went with a themed jersey for its game at Coney Island's Abe Stark Arena - also the site of its first game against the NYPD in 1974. Starting with a white base, a purple Hockey Fights Cancer palette was applied to the entire jersey, including a multi-toned purple-themed Fire Department of New York logo found on the shoulders.
The FDNY Hockey Team plays games throughout the calendar year to support various charities. It has featured players with collegiate, junior and professional hockey experience, with some players reaching as high as the AHL.
Every jersey worn by each of these participating MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program clubs contains a uniquely numbered inventory tag sewn into the jersey BEFORE IT IS WORN BY THE PLAYER ON THE ICE. This tag is equipped with covert security features regularly checked by MGG Program Directors so we can tell who wore the jersey, and when.
