Nikita Kucherov wore these pants while playing for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League during the 2018-2019 regular season and playoffs.
Kucherov was wearing these pants when he put up three assists on April 1, 2019 against the Ottawa Senators at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, ON. The first assist was on Yanni GOurde's goal at 12:04 of the first period, which opened the scoring in the game. The second and third assists came on goals by Mikhail Sergachev and Brayden Point, both in the second period. Point's goal would stand as the game-winner as the Lightning defeated the Senators 5-2. Kucherov was named the second star of the game.
Kucherov also wore these pants during the first round of the playoffs against the Columbus Blue Jackets. He produced two assists in three games as the Lightning were swept.
A rising star in the NHL, Kucherov produced his greatest efforts yet in the 2018-19 season. With 41 goals and 87 assists, Kucherov's 128 points earned him the Art Ross Trophy for the NHL's top scorer. He was awarded the Ted Lindsay Award for the most outstanding player as selected by the NHL Player’s Association, as well as the Hart Memorial Trophy for the most valuable player as selected by members of the Professional Hockey Writers’ Association. In 2020 and 2021, he brought home the greatest trophy of all: the Stanley Cup.
These game-used pants are autographed by Kucherov. They have been photo-matched by MeiGray to one regular season game and three post-season games during the 2018-2019 NHL season.
