Nick Battaglia of Ladder Co. 169 wore this Warrior Goalie Mask while playing for the FDNY Hockey Team during their 6-2 victory over the NYPD Hockey Team in the 51st Annual Hockey Heroes Game on April 12, 2025 at UBS Arena in Elmont, NY.
The mask is emblazoned with an American flag-themed "343" graphic on each side of the jaw, a tribute to the first responders who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Against a metal plate-motif background, the FDNY Hockey Team logo is front and center, with two firefighters raising an American flag on the left temple and a modified FDNY Hockey Team logo with an old-style goalie mask face on the right temple. On the back, the Ray Pfeifer Foundation logo is present next to a ribbon referencing Ladder Co. 169.
All proceeds from this auction will benefit the Ray Pfeifer Foundation, which assists first responders with medical expenses not covered by insurance as a result of their rescue efforts on September 11, 2001. Many of these individuals suffer from breast cancer..
