MeiGray has teamed up with the Professional Women's Hockey League to bring fully authenticated jerseys from its inaugural season to fans and collectors as the league's popularity continues to skyrocket.
Maureen Murphy wore this cream jersey while playing for PWHL Montreal during the Professional Women's Hockey League's inaugural 2024 season, including during the team's inaugural game against PWHL Ottawa on January 2, 2024 at TD Place in Ottawa, ON. Montreal won the game in overtime, 3-2, in front of a sellout crowd of 8,138, which set a new attendance record for professional women's hockey. The jersey is photo-matched to that game.
PWHL Montreal wore this first set of cream jerseys in seven games from January 2, 2024 through February 21, 2024.
Drafted in the third round in the inaugural PWHL draft, Murphy tied for second on PWHL Montreal in goals (5), finished third in assists (11) and finished fourth in points (16) without missing a game. She also was named the PWHL's Hockey For All community award as the player to give back most to her community. An alumna of Providence College and Northeastern University, Murphy scored 105 goals and 211 points across 170 NCAA games. She was a finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award in 2023 after scoring 55 points in 33 games. Murphy won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2017 IIHF U18 World Championship.
