To celebrate the eight years of history created by the Premier Hockey Federation, its players, and its staff, and in advance of the inaugural season of the Professional Women's Hockey League, MeiGray is hosting its final PHF auction, aptly named the PHF Finale Game-Worn Jersey Auction. This auction is comprised of jerseys worn by the league's elite players in 2022-23, many of which were not previously released to the public, so take your final shot and bid now!
The PHF-MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history ... the jersey worn by #14 Jillian Dempsey of the Boston Pride during the 2022- 2023 Premier Hockey Federation season.
Jillian Dempsey wore this Black Set 2 / Playoffs jersey while playing for the Boston Pride during the 2022-2023 Premier Hockey Federation post-season. It includes the captain's "C".
Dempsey was wearing this jersey when she set a new PHF record with her 15th career playoff point on March 16, 2023 against the Minnesota Whitecaps at Bentley Arena in Waltham, MA. The point came at 16:51 of the first period as a primary assist on an even-strength goal by Loren Gabel. Dempsey's 15 playoff points passed Brianna Decker and Hilary Knight's 14 points, which they reached in 2017. Dempsey held sole possession of the record for ten days, when Jonna Albers tied her new mark on March 26, 2023.
During the 2022-23 PHF season, Dempsey played in all 24 regular season games for the Pride. She scored 14 goals and finished with 28 points, good for second on the team in both categories, while earning only six penalty minutes. Her 14 goals was good for fourth in the PHF, while 28 points tied for third league-wide. Dempsey was selected for her fifth All-Star Game, and when her teammates on Team USA split the vote for captain between her and Madison Packer, Dempsey, who had captained a team at the event in 2022, let Packer wear the C. On December 11, 2022, she scored the first hat trick of her PHF career, adding three assists in the game to tie the league's single-game point record.
One of only five players to play in the NWHL/PHF during every year since its inaugural season, Dempsey leads the league in goals (70), assists (76), points (146), and games played (142). She was the first player to skate in 100 games or to reach 100 points. She served as captain of the Boston Pride from the 2017-18 season onward, becoming a fixture and a leader in the Boston sports market and one of the faces of the league. She was selected for five All-Star games, captaining a team in two of them. In 2020, she shared the league's Most Valuable Player Award with Allie Thunstrom. Dempsey is one of only two players in NWHL/PHF history to have won the Isobel Cup three times, with the latter two championships coming as she captained the team. Outside of the NWHL/PHF, Dempsey was a Patty Kazmaier Award Finalist during her final season at Harvard University in 2013. In 2014, she was named the Rookie of the Year in the Canadian Women's Hockey League with the Boston Blades. In 2015, she won the Clarkson Cup with the Blades. Representing her country, Dempsey won a silver medal with Team USA at the 2012 World Championship.
The Pride went 19-4-1 during the 2022-23 PHF regular season, with 15 regulation wins and a +40 goal differential.
