Luke Voit wore these cleats while playing for the New York Yankees during the 2021 MLB season.
After leading the AL with 22 home runs in 2020, Voit hit .239 with 11 homers in 2021, his final season with the Yankees. Voit slashed .271/.363/.520 in his four-season, 281-game Yankee tenure.
These cleats, which were customized and painted by Stadium Custom Kicks, feature a Military-themed design with a cream upper, #59 on the toes, yellow Nike swooshes and digital camo with "Ranger" printed on the heel.
Currently, the average Minor League baseball player earns less than the federal minimum wage, yet must locate and pay for their own housing, and receives no financial or logistical support for nutrition and equipment needs. Furthermore, as 90% of Minor League ballplayers do not reach the Major Leagues, most never receive even minimal support after their playing careers are over.
