Tyler Naquin wore these cleats while playing for the Cincinnati Reds on July 4, 2021, during a 3-2 victory over the Chicago Cubs at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, OH. The cleats are photo-matched and feature MLB Authentication holograms for the autographs on each shoe.
Naquin played in a career-high 127 games in 2021, slashing .270/.333/.477 with 19 homers and 70 RBI.
These cleats, which were customized and painted by Stadium Custom Kicks, feature an Independence Day-themed fireworks design laid over a red, white and blue base.
Currently, the average Minor League baseball player earns less than the federal minimum wage, yet must locate and pay for their own housing, and receives no financial or logistical support for nutrition and equipment needs. Furthermore, as 90% of Minor League ballplayers do not reach the Major Leagues, most never receive even minimal support after their playing careers are over.
