The six PWHL teams descended upon Utica, NY's Nexus Center for four days of exhibition games, with each team playing three games. MeiGray staff was in attendance to authenticate when these jerseys were worn, and to take them straight off the ice. Lindsey Post wore this white jersey while playing for PWHL New York during the inaugural PWHL Player Evaluation Camp.
PWHL New York played three games during the Evaluation Camp, defeating PWHL Montreal, 4-0, on December 4, defeating PWHL Ottawa, 2-1, in the Fan Fest game on December 5 that was open to the public, and defeating PWHL Toronto, 6-4, on December 7.
Post was wearing this jersey when she backstopped New York to an eight-round shootout victory on December 7, 2023 against PWHL Toronto at the Nexus Center in Utica, NY. Post faced 41 shots in regulation and overtime and made 37 saves. She allowed one goal in the initial five rounds of the shootout, matching Toronto’s Kristen Campbell. In the sudden death rounds, Post was perfect on three shots, while New York’s Jill Saulnier potted the deciding goal. Post earned the 7-4 victory, helping New York become one of two teams to sweep all their games at the preseason camp.
Lindsay Post joins PWHL New York after spending four seasons with SDE HF in Sweden, where she was named Goalie of the Year in 2020. Prior to her time in the SDHL, Post played for the Calgary Inferno of the CWHL, and spent five seasons with the University of Alberty. She won a USports Championship and was named Playoffs MVP with the Pandas in 2017.
Every jersey worn by each of these participating MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program clubs contains a uniquely numbered inventory tag sewn into the jersey BEFORE IT IS WORN BY THE PLAYER ON THE ICE. This tag is equipped with covert security features regularly checked by MGG Program Directors so we can tell who wore the jersey, and when.
