Jillian Dempsey wore this cream jersey while playing for PWHL Montreal during the Professional Women's Hockey League's inaugural 2024 season, including during the team's inaugural game against PWHL Ottawa on January 2, 2024 at TD Place in Ottawa, ON. Montreal won the game in overtime, 3-2, in front of a sellout crowd of 8,138, which set a new attendance record for professional women's hockey.
PWHL Montreal wore this first set of cream jerseys in seven games from January 2, 2024 through February 21, 2024.
Dempsey scored one goal with three assists without missing a game in 2024. She was PHF’s all-time leader in goals, assists, points, and games played. The former Harvard captain and Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award finalist began her professional career in Boston, earning the Rookie of the Year title in the CWHL in 2014 and following it up with a Clarkson Cup Championship in 2015. She was a member of the Boston Pride team that won the inaugural Isobel Cup and captained the team from 2018 onwards, leading them to two more championship titles. In 2020, Dempsey was named co-MVP of the league. She earned a silver medal with Team USA at the 2021 IIHF World Championship.
