Jesse Eldridge wore this white jersey while playing for PWHL New York during the inaugural PWHL Player Evaluation Camp.
PWHL New York played three games during the Evaluation Camp, defeating PWHL Montreal, 4-0, on December 4, defeating PWHL Ottawa, 2-1, in the Fan Fest game on December 5 that was open to the public, and defeating PWHL Toronto, 6-4, on December 7.
Eldridge recorded three points in PWHL New York’s first game on December 4, 2023 against PWHL Montreal at the Nexus Center in Utica, NY. Her first point was an assist on New York's first goal of the camp, scored by Alex Carpenter at 6:29 of the first period. She scored her first goal of the camp at the end of the period, assisted by Elizabeth Giguere. In the overtime period that took place after every game, regardless of the regulation score, Eldridge scored an unassisted goal. New York took the win in their game by a score of 4-1, and Eldridge was awarded Second Star of the Game honors for her performance.
Eldridge tallied as assist on New York's only goal in the Fan Fest game on December 5, 2023 against PWHL Ottawa. In front of the first fans to watch PWHL teams compete, Eldridge provided the primary assist on Alex Carpenter’s power play goal in the final five minutes of regulation, which tied the game at 1-1. New York was able to complete the comeback victory with a 2-1 shootout win.
Eldridge had a goal and an assist in New York’s final game of the camp on December 7, 2023 against PWHL Toronto. She assisted on Emma Woods' first goal of the game at 14:03 of the first, which tied the game at 2-2 after New York went down early. With only six seconds remaining in regulation, Eldridge scored an unassisted power play goal to break another tie and earn New York the regulation win. She was awarded Third Star of the Game honors as New York became one of two teams to sweep their games in the camp.
At the close of camp, Eldridge led all skaters with six points in three games, including three goals.
PWHL New York's third pick in the inaugural draft, Jessie Eldridge joins the team fresh off a Secret Cup championship campaign with Team Harvey's of the PWHPA in which she finished third in league scoring. The former captain and all-time leading scorer at Colgate University has been one of the top scorers in the PWHPA since 2019, the year she graduated as a finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award. Eldridge won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2022 IIHF World Championship.
