The goal, Kuznetsov's 7th of the season, was scored at 9:05 of the second period and was assisted by John Carlson and Alexander Ovechkin. The Washington Capitals defeated the Montreal Canadiens, 6-3, on November 24, 2021 at Capital One Area in Washington D.C
