The six PWHL teams descended upon Utica, NY's Nexus Center for four days of exhibition games, with each team playing three games. MeiGray staff was in attendance to authenticate when these jerseys were worn, and to take them straight off the ice. Denisa Krizova wore this white jersey while playing for PWHL Minnesota during the inaugural PWHL Player Evaluation Camp.
PWHL Minnesota played three games during the Evaluation Camp, defeating Ottawa 9-4 on December 4, earning a regulation win over Toronto that finished 5-5 after the shootout on December 5, and defeating Montreal 4-3 on December 7.
Krizova was wearing this jersey when she scored the game-winning goal on December 5, 2023 against PWHL Toronto at the Nexus Center in Utica, NY. Cycling deep in Toronto's zone, Kelly Pannek put a shot off the blocker of Toronto goaltender Erica Howe, which landed right in front of the net. Krizova swopped in at the perfect moment and elevated the puck over Howe's rising glove. Minnesota's fifth goal of the game, it stood as the game-winner in the regulation 5-4 victory, though Toronto would later earn another 'goal' in the shootout that took place after every game, regardless of the score.
Krizova was wearing this jersey again when she earned a point in Minnesota's last game of the evaluation camp on December 7, 2023 against PWHL Montreal. Abby Boreen's goal at the start of the second gave Minnesota a two-goal cushion over Montreal, and Krizova had the primary assist. When Minnesota earned the regulation victory on a 4-3 score, they became the first of only two teams to sweep all their games at the camp.
Krizova brings five years of professional experience to PWHL Minnesota from the NWHL/PHF and the SDHL in Sweden. She has also been a member of the Czech senior national team since she was 16, representing her country at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing and was a part of the team that brought home Czechia's first two medals from the top-division IIHF World Championship. A graduate of Northeastern University, Krizova finished as the program's fifth all-time scorer.
Every jersey worn by each of these participating MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program clubs contains a uniquely numbered inventory tag sewn into the jersey BEFORE IT IS WORN BY THE PLAYER ON THE ICE. This tag is equipped with covert security features regularly checked by MGG Program Directors so we can tell who wore the jersey, and when.
