The Connor McDavid-MeiGray Game-Used Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history... a pair of socks worn by #97 Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers during the 2021-22 National Hockey League season.
Connor McDavid wore these navy adidas socks throughout the Edmonton Oilers' 5-2 win over the Dallas Stars on April 20th, 2022 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta. McDavid had a goal and two assists for a total of 3 points in the game. The socks are photo-matched.
This pair of game-worn socks has been exclusively authorized for authentication and distribution by the Connor McDavid-Edmonton Oilers-MeiGray Group Game-Used Equipment Program, designed to protect the integrity of the NHL superstar's game-used items.
McDavid tallied 16 goals and 32 assists in 45 games during his rookie season. He hit the century mark in points in five of his next six seasons, and came up just three points short in 64 games during 2019-20 when the regular season ended early.
In 2021-22, his age-25 season, McDavid set new career highs with 44 goals and 79 assists, winning his fourth Art Ross Trophy and showing new levels of individual brilliance with multiple coast-to-coast solo goals.
McDavid burst out of the gates in 2022-23, maintaining an assist per game through the first quarter of the season, as he has since 2018-19, and significantly upped his goal scoring rate with 16 in his first 20 games.
