The Connor McDavid-MeiGray Game-Used Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history... a pair of skates worn by #97 Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers during the 2021-22 National Hockey League season.
Connor McDavid wore these skates while playing for the Edmonton Oilers during the 2021-22 National Hockey League season. McDavid scored one goal and registered seven assists while wearing these skates. The skates are photo-matched to five Oilers games:
--A 5-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild on April 12, 2022 at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN.
--A 4-0 victory over the Nashville Predators on April 14, 2022 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN. McDavid registered two assists during the game.
--A 4-0 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights on April 16, 2022 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, AB, Canada.
--A 5-2 victory over the Dallas Stars on April 20, 2022 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, AB, Canada. McDavid scored one goal and registered two assists during the game, the latter of which was McDavid's 70th assist of the season.
--A 6-3 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on April 22, 2022 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, AB, Canada. McDavid registered three assists during the game.
These skates were originally collected by MeiGray from the Edmonton Oilers on May 17, 2022, and these skates were subsequently returned to the Edmonton Oilers on November 13, 2023 at Amalie Arena in Tampa, FL.
MeiGray recollected these skates from the Edmonton Oilers on October 14, 2024. The hologram MGA85135 was then affixed to the holders of the each skate.
McDavid scored 44 goals with 79 assists to once again top his previous career high in points, leading the NHL in points for the second season in a row. At the start of 2024-25, McDavid was the defending Conn Smythe Trophy award winner and had scored 100+ points in seven out of eight seasons.
