Connor McDavid used this CCM JetSpeed FT5 stick while playing for the Edmonton Oilers during the 2023-24 National Hockey League season. It is photo-matched to two Oilers games:
--A 4-0 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on March 10, 2024 at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA. McDavid scored one goal and registered two assists during the game.
--A 7-2 victory over the Washington Capitals on March 13, 2024 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, AB, Canada. McDavid scored one goal and registered two assists, the former of which being his 80th assist of the season, during the game.
In 2023-24, McDavid tallied his third season in a row with over 123 points and hit triple digits with 100 assists, opting to create more than shoot. He was also +35, a new career high, and had a ridiculous 63 helpers at even strength as he led the Edmonton Oilers to their first Stanley Cup Final appearance in 18 years.
Please note that the stick is heavily cracked above the heel of the blade that rendered this stick unsuitable for McDavid to continue using. This crack has been reinforced with clear hockey tape, visible in photos of the stick.
MeiGray took possession of this stick directly from the Oilers on June 7, 2024. It has been registered with hologram number MGA82212. The hologram has been affixed near the top of the shaft.
