Connor McDavid wore these navy gloves while playing for the Edmonton Oilers during the 2022-2023 National Hockey League season. McDavid had one goal and seven assists while wearing these gloves. The gloves are photo-matched to four Oilers home games at Rogers Place in Edmonton, AB - including to McDavid's 100th point and 50th assist of the season:
--A 3-2 overtime loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on January 23, 2023. McDavid had one assist in the game.
--A 7-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on January 28, 2023. McDavid had one goal and two assists in the game, including his 50th assist of the season.
--A 5-4 shootout loss to the Detroit Red Wings on February 15, 2023. McDavid had two assists in the game.
--A 5-4 shootout loss to the New York Rangers on February 17, 2023. McDavid scored his 100th point of the season in the game.
The gloves are also photo-matched to the 2022 NHL All-Star Skills Competition on February 3, 2023 at FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, FL.
These gloves have been exclusively authorized for authentication and distribution by the Connor McDavid-Edmonton Oilers-MeiGray Group Game-Used Equipment Program, designed to protect the integrity of the dynamic NHL superstar's game-used items.
These gloves, collected by MeiGray from the Oilers on October 9, 2023, has been been registered with hologram number MGA55366. The hologram has been affixed to a zip tie on the right glove.
McDavid reached new heights during the 2022-23 season, displaying a level of offensive production not seen in this millennium. His 64 goals are the most in a single season since Alex Ovechkin scored 65 in 2008, and his 153 points represent the most accumulated in a single season since Mario Lemieux finished with 161 in 1996. He earned the Maurice Richard Trophy for the league's top goal scorer, the Art Ross Trophy for the league's top point scorer, the Ted Lindsay Award for the league's most outstanding player as selected by the NHLPA, and the Hart Memorial Trophy for the most valuable player as selected by hockey media.
