The PWHL-MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history ... the jersey worn by #6 Brooke Hobson of the PWHL New York during the inaugural PWHL Player Evaluation Camp.
The six PWHL teams descended upon Utica, NY's Nexus Center for four days of exhibition games, with each team playing three games. MeiGray staff was in attendance to authenticate when these jerseys were worn, and to take them straight off the ice. Brooke Hobson wore this white jersey while playing for PWHL New York during the inaugural PWHL Player Evaluation Camp.
PWHL New York played three games during the Evaluation Camp, defeating PWHL Montreal, 4-0, on December 4, defeating PWHL Ottawa, 2-1, in the Fan Fest game on December 5 that was open to the public, and defeating PWHL Toronto, 6-4, on December 7.
Hobson wore this jersey while playing in PWHL New York’s first exhibition game on December 4, 2023 against PWHL Montreal at the Nexus Center in Utica, NY. The New York team earned a 4-1 victory in their first exhibition game, allowing no goals during regulation of overtime and holding Montreal to a single goal earned in the shootout.
The next evening, Hobson wore this jersey while playing in the Fan Fest game on December 5, 2023 against PWHL Ottawa, which finished with a 2-1 shootout victory for New York.
She wore this jersey again while playing in the team’s final game of the camp on December 7 against PWHL Toronto, a 7-4 victory which completed New York’s sweep of all their games at the preseason camp. All the games were played at the Nexus Center in Utica, NY.
Brooke Hobson joins PWHL New York after a productive 2022-23 campaign in Sweden, where she scored 20 points in 32 games from the blue line and was nominated for the SDHL’s Defender of the Year award. A former captain of Northeastern University, Hobson earned a silver medal with Team Canada at the 2017 IIHF U18 World Championship.
Every jersey worn by each of these participating MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program clubs contains a uniquely numbered inventory tag sewn into the jersey BEFORE IT IS WORN BY THE PLAYER ON THE ICE. This tag is equipped with covert security features regularly checked by MGG Program Directors so we can tell who wore the jersey, and when.
