Ann-Sophie Bettez wore this cream jersey while playing for PWHL Montreal during the Professional Women's Hockey League's inaugural 2024 season, including during the team's inaugural game against PWHL Ottawa on January 2, 2024 at TD Place in Ottawa, ON. Montreal won the game in overtime, 3-2, in front of a sellout crowd of 8,138, which set a new attendance record for professional women's hockey.
The jersey is photo-matched to Bettez celebrating scoring the game-winning goal in overtime of Montreal's inaugural game.
PWHL Montreal wore this first set of cream jerseys in seven games from January 2, 2024 through February 21, 2024.
Bettez scored two goals with three assists in 15 games for PWHL Montreal in 2024. A graduate of McGill University, where she won a USports Championship in 2011, Bettez joined the Montreal Stars and was named Rookie of the Year in 2013. She was the CWHL's top scorer and Most Valuable Player in 2014, then took home a Clarkson Cup in 2017. In 2019, she earned a bronze medal at the IIHF World Championship with Team Canada. Bettez won a Canadian Secret Cup with Team Bauer in the PWHPA in 2021, then became the first and only captain in Montreal Force history when the team joined the PHF in 2023.
