Welcome to the Inaugural Professional Women's Hockey League Evaluation Camp-Worn Jersey Auction.
The PWHL-MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history ... the Jersey worn by #35 Ann-Renée Desbiens of the PWHL Montreal during the inaugural PWHL Player Evaluation Camp.
The six PWHL teams descended upon Utica, NY's Nexus Center for four days of exhibition games, with each team playing three games. MeiGray staff was in attendance to authenticate when these jerseys were worn, and to take them straight off the ice. Now, you can add a piece of this historic event to your collection - or start your collection!
Ann-Renee Desbiens wore this red jersey while playing for PWHL Montreal during the Inaugural PWHL Player Evaluation Camp.
PWHL Montreal played three games during the Evaluation Camp, falling 4-1 to New York on December 4, defeating Boston 3-2 on December 5, and losing 4-3 to Minnesota on December 7.
Desbiens was wearing this jersey when she backstopped Montreal to their first win of the evaluation camp on December 5, 2023 against PWHL Boston at the Nexus Center in Utica, NY. Desbiens faced 26 shots during regulation and overtime and made 25 saves. In the shootout, she stopped two of the five shots she faced.
Desbiens was one of the first three players that PWHL Montreal signed to a contract prior to the inaugural draft. She is the current starter for the Canadian national team, most recently earning the Directorate award for best goaltender at the 2023 IIHF World Championship and backstopping Team Canada to a gold medal at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Desbiens was a top-three finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award in 2016 before winning the award in 2017. She has won championships in the CWHL in 2012 and the PWHPA in 2023.
