The NWHL-MeiGray Group Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history ... the You Can Play Goalie Mask worn by #35 Katie Fitzgerald of the Metropolitan Riveters.
Katie Fitzgerald wore this OTNY X1 Eco Pro Goalie Mask while playing for the Metropolitan Riveters during their You Can Play Day on February 2, 2019 at Barnabas Health Hockey House in Newark, N.J. Fitzgerald autographed the mask after the game, a 3-2 loss to the Buffalo Beauts in which she stopped 25 of 28 shots.
Fitzgerald donated this mask, which was customized by Goalieparts.com with rainbow colors, the Riveters' logo, dyed straps, the You Can Play logo and "Fitzy 35" below the facemask, to the Riveters' You Can Play auction. The You Can Play Project, a partner of the NWHL, works for equality in all sports for LGBTQ athletes, coaches and fans. Proceeds from this auction will be donated to the You Can Play Project.
This mask is registered into the MeiGray Group Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program as number MGA21669.
