The 2018 U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team finished seventh among 12 teams competing at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games.

Team USA opened the preliminary round with a 3-2 OT loss to Slovenia before topping Slovakia, 2-1, and falling to the Olympic Athletes from Russia, 4-0. The U.S. defeated Slovakia again, 5-1, in the preliminary round and closed the competition with a 3-2 shootout loss to the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals.

The PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games were held in PyeongChang, South Korea, from February 14, 2018 through February 25, 2018. The U.S. Men's Ice Hockey Team played its games at Kwandong Hockey Centre in Gangneung, South Korea, and Gangneung Hockey Centre in Gangneung, South Korea.

The 25-player U.S. Olympic Ice Hockey Team roster, which was named on Jan. 1, 2018, was comprised of college players, American Hockey Leaguers, and Americans playing professionally in Europe. Tony Granato served as head coach of Team USA. Granato was joined by assistant coaches Keith Allain, Chris Chelios, Ron Rolston and Scott Young. In addition, Jim Johannson, who passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 21, 2018, was the team's general manager, and Ben Smith served as director of player personnel. br>
The USA Hockey-MeiGray Group Game-Worn Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history... the one set of white and the one set of royal blue jerseys worn during the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Games.

There was one set of navy, one set of white, and one set of royal blue jerseys manufactured by Nike and prepared for use by the U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey team at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games. Each jersey was bar-coded before the tournament. The sets of jerseys were collected after each game by Team USA's equipment staff. Each jersey offered in auction has been security-tagged with an individually serial-numbered USA Hockey-MeiGray Authentication Program inventory tag.

The U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team wore the set of white jerseys in two games, the set of navy jerseys in two games, and the set of royal blue jerseys in one game. The players retained the set of navy jerseys.

The U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team jerseys have microchips sewn into the back of the players' jerseys. These microchips, working in conjunction with off-ice cameras, collected and delivered data on speed, acceleration, stopping, distance traveled, shift lengths and ice time.

The U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team jerseys have a "JJ" Jim Johannson memorial heat-pressed decal inside the jersey, along with a PyeongChang 2018 Olympic patch sewn to the outside back hem. The U.S. Men's Olympic Team wore the white jerseys in the following 2018 Winter Olympic games:

*February 17, 2018, a 4-0 loss to the Olympic Athletes from Russia.
*February 21, 2018, a 3-2 shootout loss to Czech Republic in the Quarterfinal.

The U.S. Men's Olympic Team wore the royal blue jerseys in the following 2018 Winter Olympic game:

*February 14, 2018, a 3-2 overtime loss to Slovenia.

This auction is for the actual royal blue jersey worn by #21 James Wisniewski.

Wisniewski played in all five games during the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games. He recorded 1 goal and 1 assist in the tournament. He was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the fifth round, 156th overall in the 2002 National Hockey League Entry Draft.

This jersey, a Size 60, has been registered in the USA Hockey-MeiGray Game-Worn Authentication Program as number USA09702.

Proceeds will benefit the USA Hockey Foundation.
