Emily Fluke wore this pink Strides for the Cure jersey while playing for the Connecticut Whale during the 2017-18 National Women's Hockey League season.
The Whale wore their Strides for the Cure jerseys on January 27, 2018 in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Metropolitan Riveters at Barnabas Hockey House in Newark, N.J.

The NWHL is the first professional women’s hockey league in North America to pay its players. The inaugural season began October 11, 2015 with the Founding Four: Boston Pride, Buffalo Beauts, Connecticut Whale and Metropolitan Riveters. The Boston Pride became the first team in NWHL history to raise the Isobel Cup on March 12, 2016.
